My name is Debbie Day and I am a fully qualified PGA Golf Professional based at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex, Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom.
I guess you would say that I am not your typical golf professional. Becoming a qualified PGA golf professional was a huge career change for me. Having had a very successful business career I decided that that life was no longer providing me with the challenge and life style I really wanted so I decided to jump off the corporate bandwagon to do something that really inspires me.
I have always loved sport of any sort and had at that time been playing top quality amateur golf. So I decided that what I wanted more than anything was to become a PGA golf professional primarily because I enjoy helping and coaching people so much.
My amateur golfing achievements include playing at county level and winning the NAPGC Singles Championship at St. Andrews.
I believe that my previous successes in several other sporting fields has given me a special insight into what motivates people along with identifying their varied and different learning styles.
I focus on simplicity, coaching all-comers to the game from beginners and juniors through to advanced male and female players, young and not so young.
My style is relaxed, placing emphasis on fun whilst being informative. It is vital for me that your golf game improves as a result of my coaching.
I consider myself to be an excellent communicator and believe that I can get the best out of people at whatever level.
